A few years ago the acronym was understood only within a niche subculture and then suddenly NFTs were everywhere.
Digital art had finally found its market while fortunes were being made speculating on jpgs. Apes, punks, doodles and toadz popped up as profile pictures and Tezos had a booth at Art Basel. Beeple was breaking auction records while everyone from Marina Abramović, Shirin Neshat, to A16z, to The Weeknd seemed to have an opinion and a project.And then the market tanked, but true believers still say to believe.
So what do we believe? What happened and what is happening?
