About Event

Neo, the open-source, community-driven blockchain platform, is thrilled to announce its APAC-themed Hackathon in Seoul, South Korea. Joining us in this endeavor are industry major players like OKX, Alchemy Pay, and BingX, among others, to maximize the impact and foster valuable partnerships. Come register and compete for a prize and grant pool of $1,100,000.

Strategically positioned as an official side-event of the prestigious Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2023, the Seoul GAS Station serves as a prime platform for Web3 enthusiasts, not only from Korea but also beyond, to gather, explore capital opportunities, and foster collaborative ventures. Other esteemed regional partners, including Certik, Undefined Labs, Kimpga, and more, are also contributing to the wealth of opportunities and resources the event offers to participants.

Prizes and Benefits

​The Seoul GAS Station is scheduled to take place from September 1st to 2nd, in Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu in Seoul, South Korea, offering exciting prizes and opportunities:

  • ​Eligibility for consideration to share in the $1,000,000 post-hackathon grants fund

  • ​Face-to-face networking with leaders from Neo and key industry partners.

  • ​Excellence Prizes: $5,000 for each of 2 winning teams

  • ​AWS Choice Prizes: $5,000 for each of 2 winning teams

  • Akindo's Choice Prize: $2,000 for 1 winning team

  • ​Travel grants to the Hong Kong Finale in October: $1,000 for each of 2 winning teams

The winners of the Seoul GAS Station will earn an exclusive invitation to the Hong Kong Finale in October, where they will compete for additional prizes, including $10,000 for each of the five tracks. This is accompanied by the chance to access Neo's incubation program of $1 million and connect with Neo's partners, opening doors to further investment opportunities.

​Registration is needed on this page and on-site prior to the event. Leaving early without a live demo may disqualify you from the winner selection. 

​Rules and Judging Criteria will be explained at the Kickoff Session, so we recommend you attend and listen carefully to understand how to be eligible for the prize.

Notes

​Regarding Submission
All the projects should be deployed in Neo N3 or EVM testnet. For more detailed requirements, please refer to Rules and Judging Criteria.

​Regarding Photography:
Please be aware that photos will be taken during the event for promotional purposes, including press releases and social media. 

​​Regarding Participation of Minors:
Participants under the age of 18 cannot register for the Hackathon.

​​Regarding Alcohol during Event Time:
Alcoholic beverages may be provided during networking time. However, the consumption of alcohol by minors is strictly prohibited. If any underage individuals are found consuming alcohol, they will be immediately asked to leave by the event organizers.
