About Lisa
Lisa Shu has a decade of experience delivering 1000+ hours of negotiations training to entrepreneurs, investors, operators, executives, and MBAs. Combining 8 years of teaching experience as Professor at London Business School and the Kellogg School of Management with her operating experience as Founder of the Newton Venture Program whose mission is to train VC’s next generation of investors. Lisa is passionate about helping founders create and capture value for the teams they build. The odds are often stacked against founders at the beginning of their journeys—Lisa wants to help stack the odds in founders' favor.

​Lisa combines academic rigour with practical insight. With deep expertise grounded in her PhD in Psychology and Organizational Behavior from Harvard Business School, Lisa has served as a Special Advisor to LocalGlobe VC, where she has observed hundreds of hours of VC dealflow meetings and witnessed how countless deals have been won–and lost.

Lisa has witnessed hundreds of students transform from reluctant negotiators to confident deal architects. Her former students did not read, stream, or podcast their way to becoming better negotiators. Great negotiators are not born—they are created. Negotiation is a muscle you build through practice.
