đ Monthly Nurture Call with Melinda
âJoin Melinda for a nurture call in which youâll have a chance to share your current boundary challenges/wins and participate in a small-group discussion with activities around one of Mollyâs cartoons.Â
âThis monthâs cartoon focuses on the role of discomfort in growth. As we find our boundaries and discover our empowered center, we are often awakened to some changes that need to be made in our lives. After all, before we had boundaries, weâd usually been living based on what everyone else told us to do, making our choices based on their happiness or approval and not our own.
âWhile many aspects of empowered growth feel liberating, there is another side to our empowered growth...and it does NOT usually feel so good. We may start discovering things taking up space in our lives that we donât actually want or like.
âThese might be things weâve maybe been putting up with or tolerating only because we didnât yet have boundaries (so we didnât know we had a choice!) But now that we do have boundaries, we may have some difficult decisions to make.
âThis is your reminder that while growth is overall a wonderful experience, it doesnât mean every single moment feels wonderful. Itâs normal to experience emotional discomfort at times while shifting into a new level of growth.
âAnd all discomfort is not bad. The growth process can be partly a grief process, too. Itâs okay to feel sorrow when we say goodbye to things that no longer serve us. Itâs okay to grieve a little as we make the needed decisions that will lead us closer to our desired future.
