Mahjong Invisible strangers X Four Winds Toronto
Invisible Strangers is excited to be a collaboration with Four Winds Toronto for this special event in celebration of Asian Heritage month, held at the China Town Land Trust inside the Chinatown Centre. We will be sending along more info for ticket holders!
We highly encourage and ask that you attend alone! Most of the strangers will be attending by themselves. We have found that this makes it easier for people to approach each other and feels less intimidating if everyone is a stranger.
All levels welcome, beginner friendly.
We will have our games designed to eliminate small talk, mahjong, food and refreshment of course, new friends.
Originally founded in London, UK in 2021, the Four Winds: Toronto Chapter was launched in 2024 as an inclusive, volunteer-run community dedicated to teaching and playing mahjong with a new generation. Created in response to the growing need for welcoming third spaces, the club quickly became the city’s largest mahjong community, bringing people together through the joy of this cultural tradition.

Accessibility info for the space:
• Gendered washrooms located outside of the space. De-gendered washrooms available upon request.
• Flight of outdoor stairs to access the front door - there is a detour with elevators that can be arranged.
