LGD Accessibility Meetup: Making maps accessible

​This month, Alastair Veal from Islington Council will give a short talk on the borough’s tree map search – a site that lets residents find and report local trees that may need attention.

​The project is a useful example of:

• ​Making map controls accessible to keyboard-only users

• ​Providing an accessible alternative to maps for screen reader users
