Jehovah's Witnesses - The Medical and Ethical Challenge
The purpose of this presentation is to provide valuable clinical information to aid the Jehovah's Witness patient who may present a medical and ethical challenge. The five objectives are listed below.
1) Understand and address the challenges of blood avoidance with the Jehovah’s Witness patient
2) What is Jehovah’s Witnesses position on medical treatment in general?
3) As a clinician, how can the Hospital Liaison Committee for Jehovah’s Witnesses be of help?
4) What resources are available for clinicians?
5) What is the protocol when you encounter a Jehovah’s Witness patient.
This presentation will be a non-recorded live webinar for medical clinicians. The same live non recorded presentation will be given on various days and times to accommodate your busy schedule (see times and dates below). The formal presentation itself is 30 minutes, followed by a 20-minute question and answer. The total program is 50 minutes in length. This program is not accredited for continuing education credits.
