Prompt Engineering for RAG: Building Smarter Document-Aware Chatbots
Our next meetup will feature - "Prompt Engineering for RAG: Building Smarter Document-Aware Chatbots" by Kanta Garg, Solutions Architect at Amazon.
Talk Summary:
In today’s enterprise landscape, the ability to extract meaningful insights from unstructured data is a game-changer. This talk dives into prompt engineering in the context of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)—a powerful architecture for building AI assistants that can intelligently query documents and provide accurate, context-aware responses.
We’ll cover the technical lifecycle of building a document chatbot: data preprocessing, embedding generation, vector database setup, and prompt tuning for optimal LLM output. Using a live demo, we’ll walk through building a RAG-based assistant that understands and reasons over internal documents. Attendees will leave with practical patterns for integrating prompt engineering with RAG to unlock value from enterprise unstructured data.
