To celebrate 4.5 years of hosting our flagship daily Writers' Hour silent writing sessions, we're hosting a 24-Hour Writing Sprint – and you're invited!
Together we'll write across time zones from Tonga to Tokyo, from Melbourne to Montana, London to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. Join us for 1, 2 or all 24 hours if you dare - no matter where you’re based.

Can I just join for 1 hour, or do I need to join all 24 hours? You're welcome to join however many hours you like. Just make sure to arrive at the top of the hour for the full experience.
What's the format of each hour? Here's how each of the 24-Hours will run, starting at the top of each hour:
:00 – Writers' Hour begins
:01 to :05 – Host greets everyone and you’ll set your focus for the hour.
:05 to :50 –We'll write together in silence
:50 – Brief checkout
:55 – 5 min break before the next hour
What do I need to bring for the sessions? Bring a current work-in-progress writing project, whether that's on your computer or in your notebook. Not sure what to work on? Try 'Morning Pages' style stream-of-consciousness journaling.
Will I be sharing my work with other writers? Each hour will be focused time to work on your own writing project. While we'll encourage you to share a line in the Zoom chat about what you're working on, you'll be working in silence on your own project, side by side with other writers working on theirs.
What's the cost to attend? It's free! This is a celebration of writing and creativity and we'd love for you to join us and write. However if you get value out of it you're welcome to make a donation, or become a Member of London Writers' Salon.
