About Event

Where should you begin when deciding how to collect data on your work? While surveys are a popular choice for data collection, they are just one of many available tools.

Join us on Tuesday 21 January for a webinar where Jamie Spurgeon will introduce a range of data collection methods that go beyond surveys and can provide rich insights into the effectiveness of your work. You'll learn how and when to use tools like focus group discussions, semi-structured interviews, observational methods, and case studies.

We'll also look at some examples of these methods in action in farmed animal advocacy, discuss their strengths and limitations, and how to choose the right method for your needs.

Whether you're working on welfare improvements, dietary change, or policy, you'll leave with concrete knowledge of how to expand your data collection toolkit beyond surveys.

Every two months The Mission Motor organizes webinars and discussions on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning topics for animal and vegan advocates. We talk about challenges, share knowledge, and develop a community around MEL-related topics specific to helping animals.

After the session, we will share the presentation and recording with the participants and in the #s-mel channel of Hive Slack. The Q&A section will not be recorded to create a safe space for sharing and asking questions.

Do you have a question before the meetup?
Join the #s-mel channel of Hive Slack to find us and many MEL enthusiasts, or send an email to contact@themissionmotor.org.

Looking forward to seeing you!

The Mission Motor team

The Mission Motor works to increase the adoption of MEL practices within the animal advocacy community. We envision an animal and vegan advocacy cause area where high-level impact is achieved by continuously optimizing interventions.
