Cursor Meetup Hamburg
Get ready for the very first official Cursor event in Hamburg!
Whether you’re a seasoned Cursor pro or just a curious beginner, this is your chance to meet fellow builders, swap tricks, and explore what Cursor can really do - together.
We’re curating this meetup to bring together the most curious, committed, and creative minds in the Cursor space. That’s why spots are limited and participation is application-based. We’re not doing this for hype - we’re building a strong, genuinely engaged community from day one. If that sounds like you, we’d love to see you there.
Here’s what’s planned:
Open doors & welcome (18:00–18:30) – Arrive, grab free pizza and drinks, get settled, and meet other attendees.
Community talks & demos (18:30–19:30) – Three 20-minute talks (including Q&A if time allows):
Lennart Prange – Industrialisation of Software Engineering
Nicholas Sarmiento – Social Media Video Event Detection Agent: From Trends to Actions
Rutger Boels – Writing Romance Novels with Cursor
Break (19:30–20:00) – Refresh, grab more food or drinks.
Mini hackathon (20:00–21:10)
Build something cool solo or in teams.
Free $20 Cursor credits for each to hack with!
You got 1 hour to build something cool - we will share the exact theme/task right before the hackathon (final commit/push by around 20:59).
You need to record a max 1-min overview video (just run through the most typical user journey - no need for voiceover but as you wish).
We will award 3 coolest projects with some prizes (cool = super subjective, something majority vibes with) after the event and will share the winners and their projects with the attendees.
Networking & chill (21:10 until late) – Casual conversations, idea sharing, and making connections.
Important: please keep in mind, that the event is focused on existing users of Cursor, so the priority will be given to them. If we have space left, people that don't use Cursor will also be let in. But don't worry, we will organize more events that will be focused on beginners too!
