About The Instructor
Nia Asemota is an Afro-Latina engineer, product manager, artist, and model from NYC. A TEDx speaker and New York University alum, she began her career as a software engineer at NASA before transitioning into product management at Spotify. As the founder of ArtxNia LLC, she creates educational coloring books, stickers, and puzzles to empower young girls in STEM and address gender and racial disparities.
She launched the "Black Girls CODE the Future" Coloring Book in partnership with Black Girls CODE and recently debuted the "Latinas in STEM" Coloring Book, celebrating Latina trailblazers in science and technology. A passionate STEM advocate, Nia has taught with Black Girls CODE, co-developed robotics programs for underserved K-12 students in NYC, and researched ethical AI applications at NYU and Cornell Tech.
