​Based Community Meetup - Elmhurst, NYC

​The Asian community in New York City faces significant challenges with international payments, primarily due to high transaction fees, slow processing times, and limited access to traditional banking services.

​Blockchain technology offers a promising solution to these international payment challenges by enabling faster, cheaper, and more transparent transactions. By using decentralized networks, blockchain eliminates the need for intermediaries, significantly reducing transaction costs and processing times.

​We organized this meetup to effectively onboard the Asian community in NYC to Base and Coinbase Wallet. Hosting in-person workshops can help demystify blockchain technology and demonstrate how Base and Coinbase Wallet can facilitate individual's life. Providing step-by-step onboarding support in Mandarin, along with instructional powerpoints and helplines, can ease the learning curve.
