Speaker Bio:
Heather Lyons is the Founder and CEO of BlueShift Education a company on a mission to empower young people to be more than tech consumers, to be digital creators!
During lockdown, in 2020, the potential for online tools to make high quality education more accessible became apparent. Nonetheless, the set of tools BlueShift were forced to use (a hacked together suite consisting of Zoom, spreadsheets, online forms and presentation software) meant that classes were not nearly as effective as they could be. The evidence that BlueShift gathered was the basis for them winning the Women in Innovation grant, and subsequently raising angel investment and a further grant from UFI.
