About Event

Step into the world of legal analysis with Emory Law's exclusive event, Masterclass in Legal Analysis: A Practical Workshop & Primer on U.S. Courts. This hands-on workshop, led by Associate Dean Lesley G. Carroll, offers a deep dive into the fundamentals of legal analysis and will also provide a primer on the U.S. courts system.

In this workshop we'll dissect a basic legal problem, piece by piece, providing you with the tools and techniques used by seasoned legal professionals to scrutinize and interpret the law. This workshop is designed to transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills as you navigate through the hierarchy of U.S. courts and apply legal concepts to real-life scenarios.

About the speaker

Dean Lesley G. Carroll has over 20 years of experience teaching at Emory Law. Dean Carroll was an instructor in the legal writing program, and currently teaches Evidence. Dean Carroll graduated magna cum laude in 1987 from Hamilton College with a degree in English literature and graduated in 1990 from the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law.

After law school, Dean Carroll practiced for more than nine years at Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta, where she litigated intellectual property and contract disputes. She is currently serving as the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Assessment
