MRVC Event @ TNFD Data Lab during COP 15
Summary
The MRV Collective will be hosting a session during the TNFD Data Lab at CBD COP15. Contact details of participants registered here will be passed along to TNFD as a courtesy, however, please note that we have been notified by organizers that they are at capacity and they will decide upon admission — we recommend to arrive early to catch a place.
The MRVC NATURE DATA PROJECT aka Github for Nature, will be introduced together with existing aligned programs during the TNFD Data Catalyst Initiative. Our session will be facilitated and time dedicated for a participatory experience to invite steering member and working group participation. Roll up your sleeves as we'll be applying methods from service design and design thinking, and have a great time.

About the Data Project
The MRVC NATURE DATA PROJECT is proposed as a live data catalogue and repository that indexes, tags, links to all nature data repositories (public and private) including both direct observations and models. The project is led by an open community of data experts and environmental scientists (ecologists, soil scientists, marine biologists etc) committed to developing open, standard, digital protocols that enable ambitious nature-based solutions and nature conservation projects (similar to Berkley’s Carbon Trading Project and CAD 2.0 working group).
"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, one finds it attached to the rest of the world."
— John Muir
"Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond."
— Robin Kimmerer Wall
