About Event

Join us for an evening of connection and collaboration at our year end, Impact Investors Social Hour, on December 11th from 5:30-7:30pm in Vancouver.

We're bringing our community together to reflect on the year, inspire one another, and envision what's ahead in impact investing. We would love to see you there and continue building on the incredible work we’ve been doing together.

Kerry Shillito - Director of Philantropy at the Equality Fund

Kerry Shillito is a seasoned social impact leader with 25 years of experience in philanthropy, strategic charitable giving, social justice, and fundraising. As Director of Philanthropy at Equality Fund, Kerry is dedicated to advancing the work of feminist movements and human rights organizations globally. With a career spanning both the UK and Canada, Kerry has held key roles at organizations such as VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, National Trust UK, and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Her professional and volunteer work reflects a deep commitment to social justice, arts and culture, healthcare, and education. Kerry has served on numerous boards, including Hogan’s Alley Society and Ruskin Mill Trust. She is a dedicated advocate for racial equity, is passionate about driving systemic change, and fosters connection and inclusion in the communities she serves.


Jill Earthy - Chief Executive Officer at InBC Investment Corp

Jill Earthy is a forward-thinking business leader with a drive to create an inclusive innovation ecosystem. As CEO of InBC Investment Corp., Jill leads a provincial Crown corporation with a strategic investment fund of $500 million to invest in growing companies and funds, with a triple bottom line approach that values people, planet and profit to build a more prosperous, sustainable and inclusive future for British Columbia (B.C.). Jill has held multiple leadership positions, including as CEO of WeBC (formerly Women’s Enterprise Centre), where she led a provincial non-profit organization supporting women entrepreneurs with loans, education, mentorship and advisory services across B.C. Prior to that, Jill was the Head of Female Funders, working to empower women leaders to invest in early-stage companies, and Chief Growth Officer of FrontFundr, an online investment platform bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and investors.


Sarah Goodman - President & CEO of CICE

President & CEO, BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) Sarah Goodman is an executive and climate policy expert known for her ability to work across sectors to drive climate action and sustainable economic opportunities.

Prior to joining the Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) as President and CEO, she was a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she advised leading companies and governments around the world on advancing climate solutions and green industrial policy.

Sarah previously served as the Prime Minister's Senior Advisor on Climate Action and Sustainable Economy, where she played a leading role in shaping Canada’s national climate change plans and mobilized over $100 billion in federal investments to accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy.

Carolynn Beaty - Executive Director of the Sitka Foundation

Carolynn Beaty is a settler of northern European ancestry and a mother of three. She is the Executive Director for the Sitka Foundation which is a family foundation that, through the activation of its philanthropic and investment capital, catalyzes the protection of nature and biodiversity and the clean economy transition. Carolynn supports the granting program as well as provides strategic direction for the organization. She enjoys working with community organizers, policy and decision makers, governments, and knowledge holders. Carolynn has a background in education, conservation biology and philosophy. Most at peace in the natural world, Carolynn enjoys hiking, long distance running, and winter sports in her nearest wild space.
