Qualia Research Institute meetup: Parametrizing Psychedelic States of Consciousness with Dynamic Systems and Coupling Dynamics

​​​​Qualia Research Institute is non-profit building a science of consciousness to improve lives of sentient beings. ​

​This is an official meetup for the community around QRI in London. Andrés Gómez-Emilsson, President & Director of QRI, is visiting London. He is going to attend the meetup and give a talk titled “Parametrizing Psychedelic States of Consciousness with Dynamic Systems and Coupling Dynamics”.

​In Andrés's words: ”The talk is a walk through memory lane explaining how we got to the paradigms we currently have, where I talk about early Qualia Computing posts, Mike Johnson's blog, Neural Annealing, the Tracer Tool, and then the retreats... Leading up to coupling kernels and preliminary data we have showing their value”

​Unconference

​The talk by Andrés will be followed by unconference, a participant-driven conference with write-in schedule on the wall. Anyone who wants to initiate a discussion on a topic can claim a time and a space. We had several unconferences in the last 2 years, so might've been to one already — this one will have a similar format. The unconference topics don't have to be related to the topic of the talk — they can be any of the general QRI topics: consciousness research, psychedelics, meditation, neuroscience, philosophy.

​That said, you can also simply come and hang out with people — unconference is there to give some structure and help like-minded people find each other.

17:30 an 80 minutes talk, “Parametrizing Psychedelic States of Consciousness with Dynamic Systems and Coupling Dynamics”
19:00: the talk ends, hanging out, socialising, preparing unconference sessions
19:30 till late: unconference & socialising. The discussions can be on any QRI-related topic, not just the topic of the talk.
