About Event

Matanot Lev | Gifts of the Heart Yom Kippur 5782

When: Thursday, September 16, 2021, 2-5 PM

Where: Lawn at 450 Walmer Rd., York, ON

What: Let’s experience Sacred Heresy. Instead of a day of deprivation and discomfort, this Yom Kippur, I invite you to embody radical compassion, care, pleasure, and nourishment. Connecting to our bodies and our spirits in community, I invite us to eat and drink, rest, sing, and play with all our senses to experience the Divine inside and out. We will get to see what dreams for the world can come when we begin the year fully resourced.

Expect chanting, oracle cards, meditative intentions, and opportunities to enjoy the sensory pleasures of this Shabbat Shabbaton that brings us into a Shmitta (sabbatical) year.

Bring whatever you need to sit comfortably on the grass (we’ll have a good mix of shade and sun) and to feel comfortable in a group of people you may not know.

Everyone is welcome. This event is geared to adults.

Cost: Tickets are sliding scale: $44 - $77 - $111 (Contact Annie if this is beyond your means. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.)
