City Hike - Croissant Quest
Ruck with Canucks to find SF’s best Croissant!
Come explore San Francisco with us on foot! This time, we’re on a mission to find the city’s best croissant—a debate as layered as the pastries themselves. We’ll hike from east to west, tasting and comparing each croissant as we go. Along the way, we’ll take in breathtaking views, search for the iconic wild parrots, and connect with fellow Canadians in the city.
It’s the perfect chance to socialize, explore, and settle (or perhaps fuel) the hotly contested debate over who truly makes SF’s best croissant. Plus, you’ll easily hit those 10,000 steps!
Meeting Point: Embarcadero Plaza. Meet at the Vaillancourt Fountain (Look for Brandon — the tall guy wearing a weight vest and probably holding an oversized coffee).

🎒 Feeling ambitious? Make it a ruck!
What is Rucking? Rucking is simply walking or hiking while carrying a weighted rucksack or backpack. A good rule of thumb is to begin with a weight that is 10%-15% of your body weight.
What do I use as weight?
Weighted vest? Perfect.
No vest? Load up a backpack with water bottles ( great for beginners as you can drink or dump weight as needed).
Fun fact: 1 liter of water weighs about 2.2 pounds.
Another option: Books! We’ll pass several Little Free Libraries where you can drop or swap books along the way.
A Few Friendly Reminders:
We’ll be moving at a brisk pace, so choose your weight wisely.
We won’t leave anyone behind — but we won’t be thrilled if we have to carry your load (literally).
