About Event

Soapbox Project, Amrūt, and Rethink Food are so excited to welcome you to the kick-off of our monthly plant-based supper club.

When you come to our supper club, you'll be part of a joyful community space where you can connect, learn, and take action towards a more resilient future.

“Time slowed down and we just ate, laughed, and talked for hours. This was probably the evening of learning, community-building, and tangible action that I’ve experienced”

What to expect at our plant-based supper club

We'll welcome you to an evening of vibrant, nourishing, and seasonal food. You'll get a four-course meal, where each course is paired with a climate action prompt.

Here's what's on the menu for the night:

  • plant-based dishes crafted from locally sourced and upcycled ingredients (food that would have otherwise gone to waste)

  • a nourishing meal, great company, and thoughtful conversation prompts

  • a learning session with an Akiera Charles, founder of Bed-Stuy Clothes Swap about local circularity efforts

  • a guided climate advocacy exercise that connects you with your local representatives

  • a community chat that helps you continue conversations with your new friends and take bite-sized actions together in the future

Location: Rethink Food Sustainable Community Kitchen, 116W Houston Street (upcycled food will be sourced by them!)

Date & time: Thursday, October 3rd, 6-9pm. Dinner service will start at 6:30pm sharp, so please try to arrive on time.

Purpose: Deepen your connection with the place you live and the people around you so we can transform our climate anxiety and loneliness into meaningful action. Also, have fun!

Price: $80 general admission, $40 for Soapbox members (you can join our membership here)

Includes: Dinner, connection activities, expert guest speakers, advocacy tips, and the general feeling that you're not alone in this world

"Soapbox NYC was one of my favorite nights in the city!" - Nethra, who goes to a LOT of events in the city

We can't wait to welcome you ✨
