The Startup Advantage in AI w. NFX's Pete Flint
The AI frenzy is real. Over the last year and a half, we have seen thousands of new generative AI startups. But very few of them understand how to differentiate from each other, much less from incumbents who have all the advantages in the early days of a new technology.
Fortunately, there are several paths and outsized advantages for new founders building in the AI era, if you know where to look...
Pete Flint is a General Partner at NFX, a top San Francisco based fund dedicated to investing in world class founders at the very earliest stages.
Prior to NFX, Pete was the co-founder and CEO of Trulia. He led the company from idea to IPO, cofounding the company while at the GSB and growing it into one of the largest real estate brands in the U.S. with more than 50 million monthly unique users, a successful IPO, and a merger with Zillow in 2015 that valued Trulia at $3.5 billion. Before Trulia, Pete was part of the founding team of lastminute.com, a leading European online travel site that was acquired in 2005 by Travelocity/Sabre Holdings for over $1 billion.
These experiences gave Pete a rare understanding of what it takes to scale a company from a great idea to a $1 billion+ exit -- and now how to get started in the age of AI.
