Making a Life: The Conversation and The Makers Circle

Making a Life: The Conversation is a monthly event program that I developed to further explore the themes of my book Making a Life: Working by Hand and Discovering the Life You Are Meant to Live. For each online conversation, I invite one or more inspiring creatives to discuss the value and meaning of making by hand in the 21st century. My goal is to keep these events free and open to everyone. If desired, attendees can help to offset some of my administrative costs by donating through the tip jar below.

As an extension of these Conversations, I’m also offering the Makers Circle as a paid subscription. Each month I send members of the Makers Circle a creative prompt and host a private chat group and a members-only online meetup at which we discuss the prompt as well as other themes related to making by hand and making a good life. Members can also expect a few surprise guests and activities as well as book recommendations, challenges, and giveaways.

My goal is to inspire as many people as I can to recognize and participate in making by hand as a pathway to individual, community, and environmental wellness. I truly believe that we can change the world for the better by sharing what we know about making by hand.
