Bay Area LabVIEW User Group (BALUG)
More info and official registration can be found here on the LabView Forums!
Hey everyone! The next user group meeting (Q3) for 2025 is coming up on Tuesday, August 12th and it's at a brand new location!
For a while now we've been trying to branch out so that other Bay Area LabVIEW users who may not be able to make it to San Jose have an opportunity to join us. With that in mind, we're happy to announce that the next BALUG will be held at Port Labs at 2044 Franklin St, Oakland, CA 94612.
To help kick things off at this new venue we'll have two presentations:
1) Henry Sillin (Senior Project Engineer, JKI) - "Working with High-Risk Hardware"
Abstract: As LabVIEW programmers, we work close to hardware that may be expensive or dangerous. We work with a variety of people in a variety of organizations, so it is critical to have foundational principles to keep people and hardware safe. This presentation will be light on code, but focus on how to navigate safety scenarios that LabVIEW developers commonly encounter.
2) Taylor Riché (Director of Technology and Innovation Software, NI/Emerson) - What's New with LabVIEW 2025 Q3 featuring Nigel
Abstract: The newest version of LabVIEW has several new features including Nigel, the AI assistant. Come see these features in action and learn what else is new with LabVIEW.
