Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability: Community Town Hall and Celebration
Join Assistant Dean Lupe Carrillo, Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Professor Paula Welander, and Dean Arun Majumdar for our annual Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability Community Townhall and Community Celebration.
The Community Town Hall will feature a reflective dialogue on our progress toward building a more inclusive and engaged community. Together, we’ll exchange ideas on this year’s accomplishments and look ahead to the work still to come. Join us from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Zoom or in-person at Hartley Conference Room as we connect, reflect, and envision the path forward.
At 4:00 pm, we’ll transition to Mitchell Patio to kick-off the 3rd Community Celebration. Dean Arun Majumdar will announce the recipient of the SDSS Excellence in Community Award at 4:10 pm. This is a chance to come together as a community, recognize our accomplishments, and celebrate the end of the academic school year!

The Town Hall will begin with remarks from Dean Majumdar, and a short presentation from Assistant Dean Lupe Carrillo and Associate Dean Paula Welander, with an opportunity for dialogue and Q&A from SDSS community members. All are welcome—we’d love to hear your thoughts!
Community Celebration

Join us after the Town Hall for food and beverages catered from Greenfish@Nexus, along with hands-on activities, music, and giveaway prizes, as we celebrate our SDSS community and honor the recipients of the Community in Excellence Award! Opening remarks begin promptly at 4:10 PM, with the award being presented between 4:10 and 4:30 PM. See the schedule below for more details.
