Remote and Austere Conditions (RAC) Grand Challenge
The Office of the Vice President for Research would like to invite you to the Remote and Austere Conditions (RAC) Grand Challenge happening Friday, July 19th, 2024!
The RAC Grand Challenge is a pitch competition and research showcase designed to fund innovative research projects focused on developing novel techniques, technologies, and methods for remote and austere environments. The program aims to award $1M in total funding to proposing teams (up to $250K per award.) Internal teams submitted short proposals for the RAC Grand Challenge in April of 2024. Selected teams will begin pitch coaching to prepare for final presentations in July of 2024. Final presentations will be judged by a panel of experts from relevant scientific fields, industry, and funding agencies with a direct interest in remote and austere conditions (including potential representation from DOD, DHA, DARPA, ARPA-H, and other relevant agencies.)
This event offers invaluable networking opportunities with the university's research community, industry partners, and esteemed representatives from the State of Utah and federal funding agencies. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Attendance is limited, but free-of-charge. We are currently working on a final schedule, list of agency representatives, and other relevant information for the event. Please note that this is an invite-only event, as sensitive application information will be shared.
Please contact p.ross@utah.edu with any questions.
We look forward to seeing you at the RAC Grand Challenge!
