About Event

Come make a mini project with Stanford friends :D

Get free lunch and join our make session as we start and finish proof of concepts for cool project ideas in just 5 hours. Arrive on time otherwise you might miss the team formation time and miss the lunch order :))) [Lunch will be ordered at 11:30am]

Ex. projects you could leave with:

  • A redesigned notification system: Imagine if there was a way to centralize all the different notifications in your life (email, texts, Slacks, Discords, SubReddits, reminders, etc.) What novel user experiences could be created here?

  • A computationally generated short story film: Imagine if each movie watcher could have a uniquely generated film just for them with the same storyline but allowing for AI generated video content or user engagement in choosing the storyline.

  • A reimagined online course experience: Imagine if someone actually designed a nice online learning format (that's not the same thing that we've had for the last 20 years). For example, what if we could take a course on personal planning for the future (career, hobbies, social)

  1. If you are a maker: come with a laptop and leave with a new proof of concept for an idea. We'll help you figure out a cool project to make, team members to make with, and help you make a proof of concept with code or with high quality prototype with Figma.

  2. If you are a founder: feel free to come bring work for your current startup. (Just try and create a proof of concept for a new feature as well so you can present it and get feedback from everyone) You are also free to start a new mini project separate from your startup.

The schedule will look like:

  • 10am-11am: Team formation and Idea Selection + (Order lunch :D)

  • 11am-2:30pm: Mini project sprint

  • 2:30pm-3pm: Presentation and feedback

Hope to see you there :)!
