About Event

Kindly note that the daily schedule was last updated on August 29; see below for details.

To participate in the Mahayoga Sadhana Retreat from home, follow these 3 steps:

1 ) Register above with your email address -There is no fee to register for the program but we are encouraged to make offerings. Please register by Aug 23th, 2021.

2 ) Make offerings for the tsok, click here -An important part of these practices is the feast offerings we make every day. This practice of "great giving without holding back" reverses our habitual self-centered psychology and can thus enable practitioners to overcome even our most tenacious obstacles. To cover the costs of hosting the practice from Pema Osel and for the tsok offerings we suggest a $25/day contribution. You can also make a prayer requests here.

3 ) Get the Liturgies - If you are participating in the whole program, you will need the Chimé Pakmé Nyingtik (CPN), Rangjung Peme Nyingtik (RPN), and Riwo Sangchö texts, along with all inserts. These are all available as hard copies and as digital downloads. Please read the following carefully, so you can make the best decision on what liturgies you might need and how to purchase them:

Note: You must be logged in as a Member on the MSB website to make any of the purchases outlined below.

Hard Copies:
On the MSB Store, we have a new travel pecha that contains CPN, as well as two practices we don't do during this program (Dukngal Rangdrol and Zabtik Drolchok). You can order the travel pecha here. Please order this as soon as possible to receive it before the retreat. If you don't receive it in time, we can send you a complementary digital version.

If you took part in the Mahayoga Sadhana Retreat in 2019 or 2020, you should already have a CPN pecha. We have made a few small changes for this year's version, but what you have is 99% up to date. There will be a cheat sheet that explains how to navigate the practices. This will also tell you what the changes are.

For RPN, we are still using the purple book from Celebrating the Return! (Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche's visit in 2010). You can order this book here. On the RPN practice days, we do the Riwo Sangchö practice; the short liturgy can be ordered here.

Digital Download:
We have a digital pecha that includes CPN, RPN, and all supplementary practices for this program. Order it here.

We created cheat sheets to explain how to use all of these documents. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the order of the practice before the program starts.
Download the Chime Pakme Nyingtik (days 1-3) sheet here.
Download the Rangjung Peme Nyingtik (days 4-7) for the digital text here.
Download the Rangjung Peme Nyingtik (days 4-7) for the printed text here.

How to participate in the practice from home, click here. The best way to participate in this program is to do every session. If that isn’t possible, one can do any number of full days of practice. However, since every day is a complete practice, do not plan on joining for assorted sessions here and there.

• On Monday August 23rd at 8pm EDT, Joey Waxman will lead a Zoom meeting to give participants some basic information on how to do these practices. You can join the Zoom meeting by click on this link. The webinar was recorded and can be downloaded here.
