D&D: Icespire Peak, Session0
Welcome to Session 0!
We will discusses your game interests/expectations/questions/concerns. This helps everyone gain a better understanding of what we are trying to accomplish within this campaign. Expect to begin character creations and/or introductions as players/characters if you have already prepared yours.
Starting at Level 1, the game will be friendly to beginner and veteran players, so everyone is welcome!
Beginning with the "Dragon of Icespire Peak" campaign setting to avoid having to create a world to play in and then expand and continue based on the groups' ambitions/desires/playstyle. If you have played this before, it is likely that many details and developments after the first few sessions/adventures will be unique. If you have not played this before, it is a popular campaign for all skill levels to enjoy.
We may have a blend of 2014 and 2024 rules as we get started and develop a new campaign from one that was created in the older ruleset. Eventually, we should be using mostly 2024 rules as a group unless otherwise stated. There are free online resources to review both of these rulesets.
Aiming to create a setting where players/characters can be absent and return as necessary, to allow for life to maintain priority.
It may be possible and desirable to allow other players a chance to DM, please mention if you are interested in doing so.
