Pump Peak Hike
Join us for a refreshing hike to Pump Peak on Mount Seymour with the Vancity Connect community. This scenic trail offers stunning views, a moderate challenge, and the perfect chance to connect with new people while surrounded by nature.
Pump Peak, also known as First Peak, is one of the most rewarding hikes in North Vancouver. The trail is around 7 kilometers round trip with an elevation gain of about 450 meters, making it a solid workout without being too intense. We’ll start from the Mount Seymour parking lot and follow a well-marked trail that takes us through beautiful alpine forest and rocky viewpoints before reaching the summit. On a clear day, expect jaw-dropping views of Vancouver, the surrounding mountains, and even Mount Baker in the distance.
The hike has a few steep sections, especially near the top, so good shoes and a basic level of fitness are recommended. Make sure to bring plenty of water, some snacks, and wear layers—you never know when the weather might change.
This is a free event open to everyone. Whether you’re a regular hiker or just looking to try something new, come join us for a day of nature, views, and good company.
