Reframing Rejection - what if it didn't have to hurt?
What if hearing or saying 'No' did not have to hurt or be so hard?
How do you handle it when someone tells you No? How do you manage when you want to tell someone No?
How can we help folks feel safe telling us No when it is their true answer? Wouldn't you rather hear someone say No up front than to flake out on you later? Wouldn't you rather feel comfortable saying No now than having to flake out later? :)
There are a lot of angles to unpack here about how we handle a No answer - giving and receiving. Let's talk about it.
What will we do?
This will be a discussion group with some connection exercises to practice saying and receiving a No so we can get more comfortable and at peace knowing that No can actually be a good thing.
TWO HOURS? YES, PLEASE! Come prepared to talk and be with us online for the full two hours please.
DON'T QUIT THE QUEST - WE HAVE THE BUFFS!
I'm all geared up for the quest with my armor and buffs in place. I enter the castle and find a locked door. I go home and never play the game again.
Sounds silly? Yet we allow ourselves to quit the game of life all too often.
I head out to a group event with people who like what I like. I find someone interesting and ask them if they would like to meetup later. They say no. I go home and vow to never talk to people again. Seem more familiar? If you can relate, then this side quest event to reframe rejection is the event for you.
WHAT DOES NO REALLY MEAN?
Let's talk about saying and receiving a No. What can I do with this information? Is it actually a rejection of my entire validation as a human being? Come talk with us and maybe we can help influence your answer to this question.
