Canada Day 🇨🇦 at Presqu'ile Provincial Park - 8.2 KM Hike
Celebrate Canada Day with nature, sunshine, and lake views! 🇨🇦☀️
Join us for a trip to Presqu’ile Provincial Park, where we’ll hike scenic trails through forests, wetlands, and meadows, take in sweeping views of Lake Ontario, and visit the historic Presqu’ile Lighthouse— a true gem of Ontario’s natural beauty. The park is home to 338 birds species! There’s also a gorgeous beach! 🏖️ Pack your swimwear and water shoes if you’re up for a dip or want to stroll the shoreline.
This event includes hiking trails at the park: We’ll be completing the 8.2KM Lighthouse via Newcastle and Pioneer Trail. This is a loop trail and we’ll be starting in the middle of the loop and ending where we start from. We will check out the nature centre and lighthouse during the hike.

Preparing for the Trip: Make sure to bring water or something to keep you hydrated, sun and heat protection like a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as well as bug spray. Pack a light snack or lunch, and wear comfortable footwear for hiking. If you plan on swimming, don’t forget to bring swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes. A light jacket or hoodie can be useful in case it gets windy or cool. You may also want to bring tissues or wet wipes, a prayer mat if needed, and a small bag for your trash so we can leave the space clean.
