About Event

This is a live virtual discussion open to anyone interested in learning more about Opengrep as well as joining the project.

The initiating organizations will be present, represented by their respective CEO/CTO, including:

Willem Delbare (CTO, Aikido Security), Nir Valtman (CEO, Arnica), Ali Mesdaq (CEO, Amplify Security), Varun Badhwar (CEO, Endor Labs), Aviram Shmueli (CIO, Jit), Pavel Furman (CTO, Kodem), Liav Caspi (CTO, Legit), Eitan Worcel (CEO, Mobb), and Yoav Alon (CTO, Orca Security)

Together, we launched Opengrep, a fork of Semgrep CE, to provide every developer and organization with open and advanced static code analysis.

Opengrep was launched in response to recent changes by Semgrep that affect its open-source nature and shift focus to its paid offering, limiting access and innovation for the broader community– it is their prerogative to do so. We aim to continue and advance the project.

With Opengrep, we aim to make SAST widely accessible, advance the engine with new impactful features, and ensure it remains open and vendor-neutral for the long term.
