State Transit Transformation Task Force meeting in San Francisco
This Friday, a special state task force meets in San Francisco to make recommendations for state laws to fund and improve public transportation around the sate. Join us, along with a group BART-ing into SF from the East Bay, in giving public comments demanding more sustainable, long term funding from the State of California.
We will be meeting at the corner of Market & Main (near Embarcadero Station), where we will have time to share updates and hear from each other about what sustainable transit funding means to us. After we are joined by the East Bay contingent, we will walk together to the MTC headquarters at 375 Beale St to give public comment on the first item on the agenda at around 10:00.
The Transit Transformation Task Force (Task Force), created by CalSTA, is required to solicit and develop a structured, coordinated process for engagement of all parties to develop policy recommendations to grow transit ridership and improve the transit experience for all users of those services.
This upcoming meeting will be hosted in San Francisco and is open to the public.
