This event will be a space to learn, grow, and connect as you navigate your next career steps, featuring three industry leaders that will share personal career journeys highlighting the challenges they faced and the steps they took to advance their career.

Sanborn Hilland, Senior Software Engineer at Wealthsimple. Initially studying philosophy before pivoting into computer science, Sanborn brings a unique perspective to the industry. Working in both startups and large scale companies, Sanborn secured a senior position in less than a year
Matt Schweitz, Founding Partner at Bit Complete. Matt is a leader in the software space, delivering projects by building and managing cohesive, motivated teams. His refined approach as a technical leader was developed through his experience at Slack, Youtube, and Google
Event Details:
The event will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the following structure:
6:00 pm - 6:20 pm: Doors open
6:20 pm - 6:30 pm: Welcome, Introductions & Quick note on Jobber
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Presentations followed by Q&A
7:30 pm - 8 pm: Networking
The speaker will deliver a 10-minute presentation designed to both inspire—by sharing personal stories, challenges, and career growth—and inform, by offering clear takeaways and actionable ways for the audience to connect with them or their organization. There will be a Q&A period afterwards to ask questions.
**This event will require you to sign an NDA form since the event location is held at the Toronto Jobber office, where confidential information exists. You will also have the option to sign a photo consent form.
