Construction and technology aren’t just a career path for Justin Turk —they are part of a deeply rooted legacy. Raised in a family of builders, Justin watched his father and grandfather grow one of the largest minority-owned paving companies in Michigan. Despite their undeniable expertise and strong reputation, they ultimately faced challenges common to many trade contractors—challenges that led to the closure of their business. That experience profoundly shaped Justin’s journey and sparked a mission to transform how construction businesses operate.
With a background in Computer Science, Business Systems Operations, and Construction Engineering, Justin has spent his career at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and business growth. Over more than a decade at Blaze Contracting, he contributed to some of Southeast Michigan’s most complex projects, including major highways, bridges, and landmark commercial developments. During this time, he witnessed the operational and financial gaps that often hold small and mid-sized contractors back—not because of a lack of skill, but due to a lack of real-time insights into their own businesses.
This realization led him to co-found Livegistics, a company built to revolutionize logistics within the construction and waste industries. By replacing outdated, manual processes with technology-driven solutions, Livegistics enabled companies to harness real-time data to improve efficiency, cash flow, and profitability. What began as an idea evolved into a platform that reshaped the industry, proving that technology can be a great equalizer—not just a tool for large corporations.
Today, Justin remains focused on helping trade contractors and entrepreneurs build sustainable, profitable businesses. Through innovation, mentorship, and thought leadership, he is committed to challenging outdated industry norms and empowering the next generation of builders to scale smarter. The obstacles small businesses face are real—but so are the opportunities.
