This event is being co-hosted by Democracy in Colour, Sweltering Cities, Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Uniting Climate Action Network, The Root Crop, and other local groups
Climate impacts out in the suburbs is not just about the 40 degree heat. It's about worsening health issues because of heatwaves, lack of access to air-conditioning to keep cool or heating to keep warm, and the ability for our neighbourhoods to adapt with the changing climate. Think: affordability, community gardens and robust infrastructure- all in the pursuit of climate resilient and safe neighbourhoods!
