Reading Rhythms Los Angeles Chapter: May 10th
A Mother’s Day Reading Party in the Park 🌸
This one’s for the moms.
Reading Rhythms is back at Griffith Park—and this time, we’re celebrating Mother’s Day with a special edition of our signature reading party. Whether you're bringing your mom, coming as a mom, or honoring the maternal figures in your life, this event is a love letter to the women who raised us, read to us, and reminded us to slow down.
No crowded brunch lines. No gift stress. Just books, nature, and time well spent together. Slow down, soak up the sun, and spend real time with Mom.
🎟️ Mom’s Ticket’s On Us
If you’re coming with your mom (or a maternal figure who deserves a slow afternoon with a book), you can grab two tickets for the price of one. Use code YAYMOM to snag her ticket for free. This is a special offer just for those genuinely celebrating Mother’s Day together. If it turns out the code was used without bringing a mom or maternal figure, we’ll kindly ask you to pay the difference or forfeit the extra ticket. No hard feelings—we just want to keep this offer fair for the people it’s truly meant for. Let’s keep the spirit of this sweet and true!
Because sure, brunch is fine. But books and blankets under the trees? Way better.
Join us for a cozy, soulful afternoon of immersive reading, quiet connection, and ambient soundscapes under the trees. You’ll bring a book you love, and we’ll guide the rhythm of the day—with structured silent reading, 1-on-1 breakouts, and light group discussion to weave together the stories we carry into the park.
What to Bring:
A book (or two!)
Any blankets, pillows, or chairs to make yourself comfortable
Food & drinks (picnic-style encouraged — maybe even mom’s favorite treats)
A Soundtrack for Slowing Down:
To deepen the atmosphere, @adamgoesham will be spinning a live vinyl set of ambient and jazz throughout the afternoon. His warm, transportive mix will create the perfect backdrop for getting lost in a book and being present with the people who matter.
In a world that can often feel isolating, Reading Rhythms creates space for people to come together, reconnect with their love of reading, and experience the magic of shared stillness. On Mother’s Day weekend, we’re doing it all in honor of those who gave us our first stories.
We can’t wait to read with you - and your mom.
Disclaimer: By purchasing a ticket, you agree to have your photo/video used for social media and marketing materials, both as property of Reading Rhythms and other publications that may be present at our event. Additionally, all sales are final; no refunds will be issued.
