About Event

The retirement village sector provides independent living in wonderful surroundings where people can live and work, enjoying the ‘Best Years of Their Lives’.

The sector is set to grow rapidly, with a predicted 4,000 new jobs needed in the sector over the next 10 years.

Since 2017, Inspired Villages has grown from 25 people to over 370, with plans to employ over a 1,000 people in the next few years.

There are a huge variety of roles in the sector, from those which are more hospitality related through to those which are environmental, strategic, HR, management, health related and more.

It’s likely this has not been a sector you’ve considered in the past, so we invite you to meet Lawrence who is People & Culture Director at one of the fastest growing businesses in the sector.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of:

  • The growth of the sector

  • What types of jobs are in highest demand within the sector

  • What sort of personality and people skills the sector is looking for

  • The range of salaries available

  • How best to break into the sector

  • Where to find most of the jobs

With a rapidly ageing population, jobs in the age space are a big opportunity, particularly for members of Brave Starts where we know your age is an asset!
