DeepSeek's latest models, V3 and R1, have made waves after surpassing the performance of rival LLMs at a fraction of the investment. In particular, DeepSeek-R1 highlights the advanced reasoning capabilities achievable through reinforcement learning-heavy fine-tuning. In this talk, we’ll introduce DeepSeek V3 and R1, demonstrate their usages and illustrate the core ideas behind reinforcement learning-based fine-tuning.
