Dear Family & Friends,

We’re delighted to share that we’ll be getting married on June 4th, 2021 at Santuario de San Antonio in Manila.

It’s been just over four years since we met as two foreigners in Beijing. Our first date was in a quaint Italian restaurant in the hutongs in Gulou. Chris claims that he knew he wanted to marry Alessa by the third date. Alessa disputes this claim and says it was their third year together.

The next year, Alessa moved across the world to New York to pursue her Masters, and Chris followed to pursue his career as a tech bro. We’re now back in the Philippines, Alessa’s home, planning the next chapter of our lives.

For us, home is wherever the #lomloms* are and we are delighted to celebrate this very special day with you regardless of where you are in the world.

Due to the circumstances, both gathering sizes and international arrivals in the Philippines are greatly restricted, and this means that we aren’t able to celebrate in person with many of our dearest friends and family.

To welcome you to be part of our celebration, we’ve partnered with an events company that will be hosting an interactive livestream of the wedding for our remote guests. If you’d like to be part of it, please register here.

We know, however, that a livestream doesn’t compare to seeing everyone in person, and so we hereby promise to do a world tour and celebrate in person with each and every one of you when our world becomes a bit more normal again.

We hope to see you there,

Chris & Alessa

*Many may be wondering what a lom lom is. Well when Chris heard his friends Albert and Eunice call each other loml (pronounced “lommull” and short for Love of My Life), he thought it was the cutest thing ever and started to use it too. We morphed loml into lom lom and now, here we are!
