​The Gay Research Outtakes: An Other Olympians Event 

​Not every great story makes it to print. What do writers do with the queer figure they became totally obsessed with, but didn’t quite fit into their final draft? The song with a wildly queer origin story that they could never find a place to write about? Or the obscure film they’re dying to reclaim as a camp classic?

​To celebrate the paperback launch of The Other Olympians, we’re gathering three of queer nonfiction’s most brilliant minds—Leah Tigers, Sabrina Imbler, and Hugh Ryan—to take us down their favorite gay research rabbit holes that still languish on their hard drive. Expect archival deep cuts, overlooked icons and outtakes that deserve the spotlight. 

​Plus, Michael will talk through a cut storyline from The Other Olympians.
