​During COVID, Lee Kindell, a passionate home pizza maker and former hostel owner, had been experimenting with different varieties for years when he discovered Detroit-style—a pizza that has everything. Flavor. Appearance. Taste. Texture. Temperature (FATTT). And BOOM—MOTO was born.

​They started making pizzas full-time in a tiny, 500-square foot house that looks like the one from the movie “Up” just a few blocks from the bustling West Seattle Junction. Now, they've expanded to 5 locations—all in the name of bringing THE PIZZA TO THE PEOPLE.

​In December 2023, Lee and his team raised a seed round of $1.85M with plans for Series A in 2025.
