Object Styling Workshop
Object Styling is back <3 Join artist & educator Grace Ann Leadbeater in the RecCreate Collective studio for a morning of turning everyday objects into ephemeral, artistic compositions.
If you want to make your home feel more like yours, enhance your prop styling skills, or simply practice the relinquishing of control in a safe, creative community— this is for you.
Grace Ann will teach us about her object styling + still life creation process and some design composition basics before we’re given a surprise, thematic bundle of objects to play and practice styling with. Once your still life is complete— bring your camera along to photograph it against the organic studio background, or at one of our photo booth stations. With any remaining time, take a go at drawing your composition with pastels! We’ll wrap with a gallery walk + positive crit where we oooooo and ahhhh at everyone's creations, learning from each other’s approaches!
All materials + a hot bev included! Feel free to bring your own objects to incorporate, all provided objects will returned to RecCreate at the end of the workshop. See you there <3

About Your Teacher
Grace Ann Leadbeater is an artist and educator invested in the relationship between image, text, and object. She loves to arrange and balance longtime cherished and recently found objects to create sculptural still lifes. Occasionally these still life photographs become part of the books she makes (another medium she loves). Currently, Grace Ann lives in New York.
Cancelation Policy
Tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or use our ticket swap sheet. Just send us an email!
Photography Disclaimer
Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
