About Event

Facilitated by: Humanity Crew

Active listening is more than a soft skill—it’s a lifeline.

In moments of crisis, the ability to truly listen can make the difference between disconnection and support. This interactive, hands-on session explores how to build that skill using an unexpected but powerful tool: music.

You’ll engage in real-time exercises that strengthen your ability to recognize tone, emotion, and non-verbal cues—all critical to delivering Psychological First Aid (PFA) and strengthening connection in everyday life. The session will also help participants recognize personal listening biases and refine how they respond to people in distress.

By bridging everyday communication with proven PFA techniques, this session empowers you with practical, empathetic tools that enhance both personal and professional impact.

Key Takeaways

  • Recognize personal listening biases and how they shape your responses

  • Improve active listening to better support those in distress

  • Practice music-based exercises to attune to tone, emotion, and non-verbal cues

  • Receive exclusive access to Humanity Crew’s online PFA course to reinforce your learning

Who Should Attend

  • Humanitarian and development workers, mental health practitioners, and frontline responders
