Pixel Perfect Podcast Launch

​Join us to celebrate the launch of 新新人类 Pixel Perfect Podcast!

​新新人类 Pixel Perfect is a Chinese-language podcast telling technology stories with a humanistic lens. 

​We stand at the intersection of U.S. and China, uncovering the human interest behind tech trends, applying our POV of the perpetually online global youth, and bringing a critical edge to discussions dominated by the Global North.

​Starting December 1, you can listen to our first few episodes anywhere you get your podcasts.

​Guests will receive a zine about our podcast and mission, and the opportunity to win gifts through an ~early internet trivia~ game!

​We will have the hosts and the team discussing the podcast, and showcase art made by friends featuring DJ and VJ Casta Jiahui Zhu.

​新新人类是一档由几个与互联网一起长大的新生代科技记者主持的播客。站在中美交汇点上的我们，既有在美国科技新闻从业的经历，又有对中国科技的亲身体验，我们希望能将两者结合起来，创造出属于我们的新一代科技观察视角。这个播客会聊硅谷大公司、也会聊你我这样的小用户，会讨论商业化的成功与失足、也会讨论技术革命对流行文化的影响。

​Artists lineup:

​Casta Jiahui Zhu is an NYC-based multimedia artist, creative technologist, and producer. She blends the full spectrum of colors in her work to capture and visualize clocked and unclocked time, the tangible and intangible spirit of nature. She performs under the moniker Kastakila. She has recently toured Asia, and performed at the International Conference on Live Coding 2024.

​Banyi Huang 黄半衣 (they/them, b. Beijing) is a multimedia artist and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. Their work combines digital worldbuilding, text, installation, and performance to stage queer reenactments of Chinese mythologies andfolklore. With a B.A. and M.A. in art history from Williams College and Columbia University, Banyi was an artist-in-residence at BRIClab; and a member at the Art and Code Track at NEW INC. Banyi is the recipient of the WCWD Grant from Asian Arts Alliance (2024) and the 2024 Vagner Mendonça-Whitehead Microgrant.
