About Event

You're invited to an in depth panel discussion focused on trends, challenges and opportunities in our city and beyond at the intersection of sports and technology! We will also be sharing details and answering questions regarding our upcoming Sports Tech accelerator for underrepresented founders.

This panel includes the following subject matter experts-

Nate Thompson, Co-Founder of HTX Sports Tech. HTX Sports Tech creates year-round programming with corporations, academic institutions and community partners to drive innovation in sports and technology, in addition to advising sports tech startups.

Elizabeth McGee, Director of Innovation & Engagement at Intel Corporation. Intel’s mission is to shape the future of technology to help create a better future for the entire world. By pushing forward in fields like AI, analytics and cloud-to-edge technology, Intel’s work is at the heart of countless innovations.

Steven Goldfried, Sr. Manager, Global Digital and Social NBA 2K. 2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming systems and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets, which are delivered through physical retail, digital download, online platforms and cloud streaming services. 2K publishes titles in today’s most popular gaming genres, including shooters, action, role-playing, strategy, sports, casual, and family entertainment.

HOW WE’RE STAYING SAFE

​We are excited to gather with our DivInc family and look forward to sharing space and connecting in-person again. To ensure the safety and well-being of our community, we have implemented the following Covid-19 Health guidelines.

Covid-19 Health Requirements:

  • All staff, guests, and volunteers must bring proof of ONE of the following to join this event and all future DivInc in-person events:

    • Printed or digital copy of a full COVID-19 vaccination, with the final vaccine dose received on or before November 15th, 2021. Full name on proof of vaccination must match your physical photo ID.

    • Printed or digital copy of a negative COVID-19 test result obtained 72 hours before the event. Proof of negative test must match your physical photo ID. Visit houstonemergency.org/covid-19-testing/ for free testing site information. NOTE: Lab testing can take 1-3 days to receive your results so please schedule your test ahead of time.

    • ​Masks will be highly encouraged, regardless of vaccination status, inside and outside the building, except while actively eating and/or drinking.
