The Sciences Po Debate Union proudly presents the 6th edition of the Paris World Schools Cup (PWSC)—an exciting online WSDC tournament designed for passionate high school debaters worldwide. Get ready for challenging motions and high-level debates on March 28-30, 2025, Paris Time Zone (UTC+1)!

Format: WSDC (30-minute prep, 8-minute speeches + replies)
Rounds: 5 rounds, with a break to Open Quarterfinals & Novice Finals
Categories: ESL, EFL, & Novice Teams
Platform: Online (Zoom, Discord, and TabbyCat)
Eligibility: High School Students

Early Bird Registration Fee : €20 per debater
Regular Registration Fee: €25 per debater
Early Bird Deadline: March 10th, 2025
Regular Registration Deadline: March 24, 2025
Judge Requirement: N=1 for judges (€50 penalty for missing judge)

Language Status
English as a primary language (EPL): native language is English, includes speakers who have been attending an educational institution in which the language of instruction is English for 4 or more years or have lived in an Anglophone country for more than a year.
English Second Language (ESL): speaker has not lived in an Anglophone country for more than a year, but attended a school where English was used as a medium of instruction.
English Foreign Language (EFL): speaker has not lived in an Anglophone country and did not attend school where English was used as a medium of instruction (except for classes teaching English).
Experience Categories
Novice: The speaker is in their first year of World Schools debating and has not broken more than once in the Open category of any major tournament.
