About Event

Join us for a beautiful day of writing together!

Address your biggest writing blocks and let’s set your paper ablaze. (Metaphorically, of course!)

How Will We Do That?

After coming together to connect and ground ourselves, we will name our writing resistance and devise strategies to navigate any challenges, supporting each other along the way.

We will claim our writing aspirations and make real, tangible progress on a writing project of our choice. Finally, we will close our retreat with newfound intention, setting a date to reconvene in one month for accountability.

What You Will Get:

  • Ability to talk through your writing challenges and brainstorm solutions

  • Dedicated writing time in a peaceful setting

  • A plan for progressing with your writing for the next month (and beyond)

  • Accountability to make your plan happen

  • Connection and collaboration with others on the same journey

What's Included:

  • Lunch (dietary needs/desires will be met)

  • Snacks

  • 6-hour retreat with an excavation workshop, goal-setting and dedicated writing time to work on your own project

  • Follow-up 1-hour virtual accountability call for our group, one month following the workshop

Agenda:

  • 10-10:30 welcome & grounding

  • 10:30-11:30 workshop: addressing your writing challenge(s) & claiming your writing aspirations

  • 11:30-12:00 free writing/thinking time

  • 12:00-12:30 lunch & chat

  • 12:30-1:15: speed writing

  • 1:15-3:15 dedicated writing time on own project (with built-in breaks to debrief)

  • 3:15-3:30 reflection

  • 3:30-4:00 closing grounding & what's next

Writing can be such a solitary process, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Join us in moving through any resistance, claiming your writing aspiration, and putting your pen to the paper.

Together, let’s make it happen.

Who is this best for?

The beauty of writing challenges is that we ALL face them. Whether you’ve been writing for three weeks or three decades, this retreat is for you. It’s open to writers of all genres and all experience levels. Maybe your challenge is that you...

  • don't see yourself as a writer and aren't sure where to start.

  • have been writing every day for 20 years, but want to change genres.

  • have a ton of things written, but your imposter syndrome is preventing you from hitting publish.

  • want to write a book, but feel overwhelmed.

  • have a laundry list of topics, but lost momentum and get bored before finishing anything.

The list of challenges is endless - let’s face them together, head on!

This one-day retreat will support writers at all levels and provide you the space to work through your challenge. Best of all, you'll have two hours baked into the day where there's no other expectation other than for you to BE and to WRITE. What a gift to give yourself!

This retreat will provide a gentle, nurturing, supportive and inclusive space.

It will NOT be a good fit for you if you're seeking  a quick fix or aren't interested in connecting with others on their writing journey.
