Rami Essaid will share tips of startup CEOs to manage finances at the seed and Series A stage. He will discuss how he managed the finances at his last startup Distil Networks including when he transitioned to external help and then a full-time finance teammate.
He will share tips on the best way to model expenses and very early revenue plans and how to communicate this to your board and in external VC pitches. Many of these techniques are now built into his new startup Finmark and their automated startup finance management approach. His presentation will be followed by 15 minutes of Q&A.

Rami Essaid is the founder and CEO of Finmark, a YC-backed startup that aims to make financial modeling easy for startups. He was previously founder/CEO of security startup Distil Networks (where Sunil backed him and was on his board) that he later sold to Imperva Networks. He is also a member of the Ubiquity Extended Team.
